Review
PMI Tower is a 21-storey mixed-use, office and commercial building located in Makati City, which also serve as the headquarters of the company. It is stunning embodiment of modern architecture, practicality, sustainability, and technological innovation. This remarkable structure is designed to optimize property value while ensuring an exceptional workplace experience for its users.
The concept of the tower is to bring the outside inside. The large glass windows are there to let the natural light in making the floors feel open and bright. The extra large window The windows and the penthouse also have a view of Makati CBD. Open-air spaces let people think and take a break from work without stepping outside the building. This office space is ideally situated in Makati, the financial hub of the Philippines, surrounded by various retail establishments, cafes, and transport hubs. Major banks, foreign embassies, and a plethora of local and multinational corporations can be found in the vicinity.
Featuring the incredible Mega High Full Glass Wall and Unitized Curtain Wall systems. These architectural marvels boast remarkable dimensions in both width and height, setting new standards for grandeur and scale. With expansive widths exceeding 2000mm (78.74 inches) and towering heights surpassing 6000mm (236.22 inches), these curtain wall systems redefine the possibilities of modern design. These curtain wall systems have been specially developed and customized by the Topbright team for this project. From production to installation, we take full responsibility for every step of the process. Our team is dedicated to providing precise and reliable local services, ensuring meticulous execution in both design and construction.
Challenge
1, Design Challenge: Ultra-large and ultra-high full glass walls and unitized curtain walls, Each panel boasts a maximum width exceeding 2000mm (78.74 inches) and a towering height surpassing 6000mm (236.22 inches). These systems are designed to meet the high demands of local requirements, ensuring optimal performance and withstanding wind pressures.
2, Manufacturing and installation concern: Makati, Manila, has a tropical monsoon climate, characterized by high temperatures and distinct wet and dry seasons throughout the year, with occasional heavy downpours and the possibility of typhoons or tropical storms. When designing and manufacturing ultra-high glass panels require Safety considerations for ultra-high glass panels: structural integrity, impact resistance, safety glazing compliance, safe installation, and maintenance protocols.
3, Thermal insulation performance: When considering the overall appearance and thermal insulation performance of the facade system, it is crucial to meet local environmental and energy efficiency requirements. Additionally, the safety performance of ultra-large and ultra-wide glass panels should be taken into account.
Solution
1: Customized Design Service: The engineering team at Topbright has made multiple design revisions and conducted thorough testing to develop a brand-new unitized curtain wall system that is specifically tailored to meet the local wind pressure requirements. Collaboration with architects and iterative improvements have been key in ensuring the system's suitability for the project.
2: After rigorous glass performance testing and multiple simulation tests, the engineering team at Topbright collaborated closely with the design team. They arranged for sample production, conducted on-site inspections, and engaged in meticulous discussions to evaluate and modify the design. After confirming the necessary changes, the production plan was finalized to ensure the production of a unitized curtain wall system that meets the local wind pressure requirements and provides optimal performance.
3: Excellent performance: Topbright and our strategic partners, renowned industry leaders, prioritize sustainability. The ultra-wide and ultra-large glass panels are crafted using premium materials from reputable suppliers, certified by IGCC and SGCC. Through rigorous performance tests and comparative analysis, our design ensures superior environmental friendliness and energy efficiency, exceeding project requirements.
4: Other issue: Our team closely manages handling, transportation, installation precision, site accessibility, and coordination for the large glass panels exceeding 2000mm width and 6000mm height. Specialized techniques, skilled professionals, and strict quality control ensure safe handling, precise installation, and efficient coordination, ensuring project success.
