Project Overview

The Grand Bank for Savings FSB project in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, is moving steadily toward completion. What began as a set of conceptual drawings has now taken shape on-site, with the main façade installation well underway.

Spanning 24,960 square feet, the bank includes 26 offices, 79 parking spaces, and even a basketball court, blending modern function with a community-focused design. This new facility represents not only an architectural upgrade but also a major step toward energy efficiency and long-term durability in Mississippi’s challenging wind conditions.

Originally designed as a prefabricated metal building rated for 90 MPH wind load, the structure was re-engineered by Topbright to withstand up to 130 MPH (2.2 kPa) wind pressure — equivalent to a Category 4 hurricane.

Installation Progress

As shown in the latest construction photo, the window wall system and red structural steel framework have now been installed, giving the building its distinct, modern façade.
The precision of factory pre-assembly has allowed the installation to proceed efficiently and safely on-site.

The integration between the 7.3-inch window wall system, stainless-steel triangular frames, and waterproof louvers is being executed exactly as planned — validating the accuracy of the project’s BIM and 3D model simulations.

This stage marks a major milestone: from design visualization to real-world installation.

Project Challenges

Simplifying Installation & Reducing On-Site Labor
Due to high local labor costs, the client required all major steel components to be
bolted and assembled with minimal welding. This led to a unitized modular structure design, ensuring rapid installation and reduced construction time.

Replacing the Traditional Curtain Wall
The client opted to replace a conventional stick curtain wall with a
Topbright window wall system for their 5.8-meter (19-foot)-high façade. The system needed to combine ease of installation, structural integrity, and 2.2 kPa wind load resistance — all within a clean, minimal aesthetic

Seamless Integration Across Multiple Systems
The design required perfect alignment between
stainless steel structures, louvers, custom aluminum panels, and glass railings, ensuring consistent appearance, waterproofing, and thermal performance.

Topbright’s Engineering Solution

Factory Pre-Assembly & Precision Fabrication
Each steel component was
fabricated and welded at the factory, then shipped in pre-assembled modular units that fit into standard shipping containers. Every part was pre-drilled, labeled, and numbered, allowing installers to quickly locate and connect components on-site.

Custom 7.3-Inch Window Wall System
Topbright developed a new
7.3-inch deep window wall system, engineered to handle 130 MPH wind speeds while supporting glass panels up to 19 feet tall.
Pre-installation testing ensured airtightness, watertightness, and structural strength before shipment.

Digital Coordination and BIM Modeling
The entire façade system was modeled in
BIM and 3D software, allowing Topbright’s design team to simulate the installation sequence, identify potential conflicts, and coordinate with the on-site contractors in advance. This reduced field adjustments and ensured the project stayed on schedule.

Products Supplied

7.3-inch Window Wall System – Designed for high wind resistance and clean sightlines

4-inch Window Wall System – Used for interior partitions

Stainless Steel Structural Frame – Prefabricated and modular for on-site assembly

From Design to Reality

This project showcases the full scope of Topbright’s design-to-installation capabilities — from early-stage system development and engineering calculations to mold opening, production, global delivery, and on-site coordination.

What started as a client’s architectural concept has now become a tangible, high-performance structure, reflecting Topbright’s precision, speed, and technical strength in every detail.

With the installation nearly complete, the Grand Bank for Savings FSB will soon stand as a symbol of modern design and structural resilience in Mississippi.
